The first week - Getting Started
After arriving Sydney after a veeeery long flight, I pillaged through an endless amount of duty free shops with giant packages of M&M's, Gucci-Stuff and expensive souvenirs. After a marsh that seemed like a half-marathon I Finally made it to my baggage and after saddling up I started looking for a shuttle to the city. It took only a few minutes until a very friedly Aussie offered me a ride to the Railway Square for just 15$ (about 8 Euro).
It took us about 15 minutes to get to our destination: The Railway Square YHA (You can see the pictures of my first accommodation above)
On my first week in Sydney i visited all the main attractions a tourist have to see: the famous opera house, the Sydney Tower, the Harbour Bridge or Bondi Beach.
When you're moving through the George Street (Sydney's main shopping street) zou almost feel like you're in China when you look at thousands of tiny sushi and noodle stores. But indeed there is a large amount of Korean immigrants especially in the great metropolises Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne.
At the moment I'm sitting in my 30m² room with 8 beds in it, thinking about my first week in Australia. My first impression is just awesome! The people are friedly, the weather is great and the landscape is simply stunning!
